Sprint 2 - Things are falling into place


Hello there!

Its the start of sprint 2! 

With the amount of progress we made last week, we wanted to keep the juices flowing, but had to attent to things that needed adjusting as well.


ART

Both the main character and the boss needed some adjustments to get closer to their respective concepts.

Both are unwrapped and ready for animations, so next week: Animations!

The main menu has some iterations that we still need to decide on.

We also started texturing the environment.

ANIMATION BOSS

We started searching for boss animations from Mixamo. Here are 2 examples of the animations that we found:


TECH

On the programming side, the week has been a bit quieter. Several of our tasks for this sprint are around adding more of the game intems in order to bring forth the various buffs and debuffs the player may go through. This brings different states such as impared/slow movements, invincibility, stun, etc.. We need to modify our code design to be able to include each and every states efficiently and easily into action... a State Machine might be in order here.
Aside of that, we already started tweaking some of our mechanics, such as the throw, and refactoring some code around them. Hopefully next week brings better news and new build to try out.
